Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. For this character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her mother, Anne, performed in church plays as a child that instilled a love of performance and theater in Jenna. Jenna spent her childhood watching her mother Anne, in church productions. The experience instilled a love for theatre.
Fischer is an actress who has theatre training. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons for Being Happy. Following her appearance in Steve Martin's most recent play Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann & Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast hosted by Earwolf in the month of October. The show has been an enormous success, making the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads in the first two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's published two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her path to Hollywood as a working actor as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, which is a story of the greatest relationship they shared and their time in The Office.
