The babies were asleep in their cribs and I was strapped with an infant on my back. Ha! The house was starting to look nice, but there were still many things to be done. It would take lots of time as well as a passion of shopping. To keep within budget, I began taking my kids to estate sales looking for of diamonds. Growing Days was founded in my home. My business was not only flourishing, but I was also growing our sweet family as well. In some ways, I was able to find the perfect way to balance being a mom and launching my company. Growing Days seemed like the ideal combination. My sweet Nora came into the world in 2013 and was our fourth child. I loved where my business was taking me, but I felt like I needed some time off. I got away from furniture that was vintage to enjoy more quality time with my children. This was precisely what I needed. Within a couple of months, the phone began to start to. There were calls from people asking me to assist them in decorating their homes and interiors. A majority of those calling me came from people who visited my home at one of the furniture open houses. I began to take on clients at a time taking my time but it didn't take long before I had multiple accounts and was running the complete business of home remodeling. I'm sure you would have made me laugh if you told me this would become the basis of the DIY Network tv series. Even now, when I think about the circumstances I am laughing.
