Eve Maughan was born on November 22, 1982, in London, England. She is the daughter the Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan's. Jack and George were her little brothers. She was born and educated in England and then Los Angeles. She went to Bedales School and then took her A-Levels in Westminster School in London. During her gap year she attended the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then studied English through St Catherine's College Oxford. The student actress was in productions An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers, Scenes from an Execution (which was toured to Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and The Colour of Justice while studying at Oxford. Eve was also a part of BBC dramas like The Rotters Club Poirot & Hawking and the 2004 movie Stage Beauty. Eve played major roles in the 2006 film Starter for 10 as well as Big Nothing. She and Simon Pegg both used American accents. Eve devoted a substantial portion in the beginning of 2006 in India in a drama series called Losing Gemma. Eve appeared in Trevor Nunn's two plays. In 2006, the Royal Court Theatre presented her in Rock n Roll a Tom Stoppard's newest play in 2006. She reprised the role in the Broadway version in 2007. Her performance received nominations for the top support actress prize at the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards. The actress played Roxane in the Chichester Festival Theatre. The actress was born into a family of mixed race, having an Indo British father Anthony Mitra of British descent as well as a maternal grandmother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra is a mother to an older and younger brother. Jason Mitra was her father. Her older brother is a well-known journalist who's works have been featured in Lonely Planet and The Sunday Times.
